| No amazing insights lately.....just recovering from the last half of 2006. New Baby, new house on the way and work have kept things chaotic to say the least. But I am still alive.

In reference to this blog entry, and the e-mail it discusses (gratuitous repost)

Realize that the Bible is clear; one sin is the same as all
sins in God's eyes. I know it is
difficult to comprehend how murder and stealing are the same in God's eyes, but
the point is mad clear throughout the New and Old Testament that "...all
have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God." The point being from the person that consciously
rejects God, to the nicest most well intentioned person that never accepts
Jesus, to the most evil dictator, Salvation is only by grace, through
faith.
I simply do not believe that God speeds people along to
their eternal damnation (look at Sodom and Gomorrah, God actually
let a man haggle with him over how many people would need to be righteous to
save the entire city! (Gen 18:20-32)).
As a matter of fact Re-read Genesis 18 and 19 in this light.....the word
used for "Angels" there is the "Angel of the Lord"
"the theophanic angel" which is used for the Holy Spirit and the
pre-incarnate Christ (whoa deep theology!) The very same one that wrestled with
Jacob! Basically God waited as long as
he could for these people, then gave them an extra day so he could eat dinner
with Abraham! Then God the father
Returned to the throne and let the Son and Spirit go about the work of offering
salvation in Sodom and Gomorrah!
Anyway, I said all of that to say this. I do not believe that God goes around
"Whacking" people that say things like are listed in this
e-mail. I will say this in no uncertain
terms. "The fool has said in his
heart 'there is no God'" the fool
is not just ignorant, but lives their life in a foolish manner and races
headlong away from God.....These tragic stories are but a consequence of a
foolish life.

| I have never met a group of people that overall has less
professionalism than doctors. Here was the latest in a long line of
"What the heck?" moments in my medical history.
I went today to get 2 teeth pulled. I scheduled the surgery a month in
advance and planned to se the dental surgeon who had "Fit me in" to
pull an abscess tooth about 6 weeks ago (I have a million dollar mouth ) anyway, the appointment was at 10 AM, come
15 min early, etc, etc. I was going to be sedated, due to the nature of
what they were doing today, so my wife called in an emergency favor with some
friends of ours to watch the kids, after our original babysitter fell through.
Long story short, at 10:45, I was still in the waiting room. I asked the
lady at the front desk, if she could find out what was going on, and she said,
oh, they will be a few more minutes. They called me back to do the
payment and I asked again, how long? She said "well, they need about
20 more minutes for this patient and about 15 minutes to prep the room.
So you will probably be done with your surgery by 2." I explained in
no uncertain terms (I actually didn't lose my cool) that we had a babysitter,
and that that would mean that I would have been in their office 2 hours after
my appointment time before they took me back. So I asked them to
Reschedule me for a month from now....
I was infuriated...I simply cannot stand people acting in such a
manner. 30 minutes = behind. 2 hours = Irresponsible
scheduling.
If I was late for my appointments by 2 hours, I would be looking for a job. So, I fired my Oral Surgeon... I am looking for a new one this week.... I would recommend that everyone fire their doctors if they aren't doing their job. Maybe then the principles of customer service and professionalism would creep back into that line of business.

| So I am a bit of an eBay addict......but I tend to be wise and get good deals on items I may be looking for. (Most of the time)
So I am a "sniping" professional. You do not want to be bidding against me. EBay brings out the most vitriolic, vindictive and competitive side of me, so much so its scary. I even get an adrenaline rush out of it. </me watches my audience run away in terror>
So Today I needed one final thing to complete my McDonalds "Cars" collection. Now I am not collecting all 24 (3 of each of the 8 cars) but having one of all of the characters is sufficient. Today I needed a Purple Ramone.
So I sniped the absolute heck out of someone (2 seconds!!!!) and won it.
But now I feel guilty, like I robbed some kid of their toy.....I can see the mom crying at her PC as I snapped the toy form her grasp a the last moment. I picture the little boy crying himself to sleep over lacking that one Ramone toy.
So here is my public apology .
Sorry, "momof2incal".
